Our written purchase offer
We provide a clear written purchase offer for the agreed items, which you can retain for your records or share with your solicitor. It records what we are offering to pay and is not a formal probate valuation.
The offer lists the items included, the price offered, any conditions, an expiry date and the agreed payment and collection arrangements. You are under no obligation to accept it.
Frequently asked
Do you buy selected items or the whole contents?
We may buy a single piece, a collection or a larger group of suitable contents. What we can buy depends on the individual items, condition, demand, access and location. We never promise to buy everything in a property.
How do I send photographs?
Use the photo enquiry form. You can take pictures there and then on your phone or choose them from your photo library. If you cannot upload photographs, ask for a callback instead and we will talk it through.
Will I hear back from you?
We receive a great many enquiries, so we are unfortunately unable to reply to each one personally. We do carefully review every set of photographs, and if your items are a good match for us we will be in touch using the details you gave — usually to ask a question, make an offer or arrange a buying visit. If you do not hear from us, please take it as a gentle 'not this time' rather than a reflection on you or your belongings — it simply means they do not suit our current needs. We are genuinely grateful for every enquiry and read each one.
How does a buying visit work?
If the photographs suggest the items suit us, we arrange a time to view them. We check condition and access, confirm which items we would like to buy and discuss price, payment and collection.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Orpington and arrange buying visits across Kent, Sussex, Surrey and London for larger lots. If it is not a large load, or you are further away, you can simply send the items to us by courier or post instead — we will suggest whichever makes more sense when we review your photographs. If you are well outside these areas, send photographs anyway and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
What does a purchase offer include?
We provide a clear written purchase offer for the agreed items, which you can retain for your records or share with your solicitor. It records what we are offering to pay and is not a formal probate valuation.
Can you deal with me if I live away from the property?
Yes. Many executors live elsewhere. We can correspond by phone, WhatsApp or email and arrange access with whoever holds the keys, provided you have authority to sell the items.
What about the things you do not buy?
Remaining clearance can be quoted separately through our clearance service. A purchase offer and a clearance charge are always kept separate and shown clearly, never quietly netted off against each other.
Am I obliged to accept an offer?
No. There is no obligation at any stage. You are free to decline, take other advice or sell elsewhere.
